UX Research & UI/UX Mobile Design For A Digital Safe Platform

Simplifying Access to Digital Security: A UX/UI Redesign for Digiposte
In today’s digital world, secure access to personal data is essential. But what happens when logging in or creating an account feels more like a roadblock than a gateway?
That was the challenge facing Digiposte, a digital safe and personal assistant that helps users store, protect, and manage all their important documents in one place.
🚧 The Problem
The account creation and login pages were confusing, unintuitive, and led to a high number of support requests. Users struggled to complete key actions, often dropping off mid-process or reaching out for help.
🎯 The Objective
Redesign the account creation and login flows; not just to make them visually cleaner, but to truly improve usability, reduce friction, and build trust from the first interaction.
🧩 Scope of Work
UX Research · UI Design (Account creation, login, and password recovery)
🤝 Team Collaboration
This work took place within a design team of over 30 professionals, structured into smaller, focused groups of 3–4, each handling a different section or product feature to ensure depth and cohesion.
Process Overview
Step 1: User Testing

Guerrilla usability testing was conducted in Paris (District 13) in December 2019 with six participants (3 women, 3 men, aged 24–52) from varied professional backgrounds. The goal: understand how users interacted with the existing flow.
Step 2: Gathering Feedback

Key insights emerged: too many steps, overly dense form fields, and unclear password rules. These friction points were mapped to refine both structure and content.
Step 3: UI Redesign & Mockups

Final mockups recreated the full account flow (registration, login, and password reset) with simplified flows, more accessible color contrasts, improved form fields, and clearer microcopy. The result: faster completion times and a noticeably smoother experience.
Results & Takeaways
The redesign led to a significantly improved user experience. Clearer flows, intuitive navigation, and a streamlined interface helped reduce support queries and built user confidence from the very first click.
This case highlights how even the most functional touch points like login screens can have a huge impact on product adoption and user trust when approached with empathy and precision.
